Us-China Relation: The domestic factors

Susan Shirk addressed about the domestic factors of US-China relation. She said that the Presidential interest is not the same as senators' interests, no matter in the same party or not.

The US and China are alike. They are large and don't want to follow others' rules.

For China, Taiwan is not their real concern, except Taiwan independent. The Chinese are more concerned about Japan.

Global trade doesn't guarantee the peace between nations, for the example of WWII.

The global financial crisis caused the Americans to know the independence trade of China.

I know 90% of what she said in English, but however, I could write down the notes of the speech. I should practice it more.
